'Cats Double Up Greys 12-6
TROY, NY - The Tri-City ValleyCats doubled up the Empire State Greys 12-6 on Friday night at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium.
The 'Cats, which erased deficits of 4-0 and 6-4 in the home win, scored four runs in the third, three in the fifth, and opened up some breathing room with five in the eighth. Tri-City batted around in the third and eighth innings.
Six ValleyCats registered multiple hits tonight. Leftfielder Joey Campagna, centerfielder Jesus Lujano, third baseman Pavin Parks, and first baseman Brad Zunica each recorded three hits. Parks went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored, while Zunica was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI.
Tonight marked the 100th victory for Manager Pete Incavigilia at the helm of the ValleyCats.
Though victorious, results around the Frontier League caused the elimination of Tri-City from playoff contention. The 'Cats conclude their season with games against Empire State on Saturday at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 5:00 pm.
