The Tri-City ValleyCats will play six preseason exhibition games, four at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium and two on the road, leading into the 2026 season.

After a possible afternoon split-squad exhibition game against New Jersey, the public is invited to see Tri-City play for the first time in 2026 on Thursday, April 30, at 6 p.m. as a split-squad takes on Hudson Valley Community College in the annual friendly rivalry between “The Joe’s” two primary home teams. Tickets for this first look are free.

After Tri-City travels to Brockton on Saturday, May 2, the ValleyCats will host the Rox on Sunday, May 3 at 3 p.m. The game is open to the public as well, with discounted tickets available through the box office.

All preseason games are free for season ticket holders and discounted even further for mini-plan holders.

The ‘Cats travel to New York for an exhibition on Monday, May 4, but return for their final preseason game against the defending league champion Quebec Capitales on Tuesday, May 5. Tickets are available through the box office, gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and first pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The ValleyCats open the Frontier League season on Friday, May 8 at New Jersey. The team’s home opener - presented by the Rensselaer County Department of Health - is Friday, May 15, against Quebec followed by the first of 15 postgame fireworks shows presented by Upstate New York Toyota.
