ValleyCats, Built2Win hosting 518 Futures Classic June 11
TROY, NY – Tri-City ValleyCats and Built2Win will showcase the best high school baseball talent from across the Capital Region in the sixth annual 518 Futures High School Baseball Classic at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium on Thursday, June 11. Gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. with a Home Run Derby at 4:30 p.m. and first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Aimed at showing off the top-tier talent in the area, each team will consist of players from schools within each of the five classifications across Section 2. The rosters are selected by a committee of coaches, officials, and local media. Built2Win provides each team with uniforms and is the designer of the 518 Futures High School Baseball Classic logo.
Tickets are just $6 in advance, and $7 at the door, and available at tinyurl.com/518FuturesGame2026.
Several players from the 518 Futures Classic have been drafted by Major League Baseball organizations including Michael Kennedy (Troy) who was selected in the fourth round by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2022 and is currently pitching in the Cleveland Guardians’ organization.
