ValleyCats lose road trip finale at Sussex County, 15-7
The Tri-City ValleyCats (2-4) finished the 2026 season-opening road trip with a 15-7 loss at Sussex County on Thursday, May 14.
Dylan Broderick went 2-for-4 with a walk and three RBI for Tri-City. RJ Stinson was 2-for-4 with three runs scored, and Mike Campagna was 2-for-5 with two RBI.
Tri-City starter Stephen Still went five innings and struck out seven while yielding six runs on eight hits.
Sussex County finished with 17 hits, including five home runs, and a 3-for-4 day for Sean Roby Jr. as he homered twice and drove in four.
The ValleyCats return to Troy for the 2026 home opener tomorrow, Friday, May 15, as they host defending Frontier League Champion Quebec. Gates open at 5 p.m. so fans can enjoy the first edition of the Sun Cruiser Game Day Music Series, this time featuring the Matt Mirabile Band; first pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
